While Fox Creek put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Newberry. The Predators came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-2 win back in March.

Bradley Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Lawson Lewis was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jackson Wright, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

The win made it two in a row for Fox Creek and bumps their season record up to 16-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Newberry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Fox Creek will square off against Swansea at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Newberry, they will head out on the road to take on Fairfield Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Griffins at the right time seeing as the Griffins are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
