Baseball Game Preview: Dysart Demons vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Dysart Demons will head out to square off against the Moon Valley Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Dysart and 11 for Moon Valley.

Dysart lost 9-2 to Yuma on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Greenway on Thursday and fell 9-8.

Edwin Terrazas-Beltran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was John Lowndes, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Dysart, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Moon Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dysart has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. It's a different story for Moon Valley, though, as they've only averaged .347. Will they be able to contain Dysart's hitters?

Dysart was able to grind out a solid win over Moon Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
