Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Duncanville). They put the hurt on the St. Raymond Boys Ravens with a sharp 86-64 victory on Saturday. The Panthers and Pantherettes not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th (when they won 79-30).

When it comes to explaining why St. Raymond Boys lost, don't look at NaJay Bess. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-14 en route to 24 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brazir Nelson, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals.

The win (which was Duncanville's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for St. Raymond Boys, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Duncanville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-49 loss against Corner Canyon on the 12th. As for St. Raymond Boys, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-47 win against Mt. St. Michael Academy on the 9th.
