Basketball Recap: Bronson's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Bronson entered their game against Dixie County on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bronson Eagles fell 42-31 to the Dixie County Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-23 back in November.

Despite the loss, Bronson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andrea Schuler went 6 for 13 on her way to 16 points. Schuler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Bronson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Dixie County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Bronson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Key at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Dixie County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fort White at 7:00 p.m.
