Basketball Game Recap: Lockney Longhorns vs. Springlake-Earth Wolverines

After flying high against the Motley County Matadors last Tuesday, the Lockney Longhorns came back down to earth. Lockney fell 63-52 to Springlake-Earth on Thursday. Lockney was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Springlake-Earth apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

jj jaramillo went supernova for Springlake-Earth, scoring 31 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which jaramillo has scored at least 25% of Springlake-Earth's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Tovar, who scored 10 points.

Lockney now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Springlake-Earth, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Lockney will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crosbyton at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Springlake-Earth, they will face off against Whiteface at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
