Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville lost against Lovejoy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenville Lions lost 69-47 to the Lovejoy Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Leopards are ranked 64th).

Greenville has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Lovejoy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

Greenville will challenge McKinney North at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lovejoy, they will face off against Sherman at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lovejoy is facing Sherman at the right time seeing as Sherman is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
