Volleyball Recap: Sequoia Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Sequoia had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Los Gatos Wildcats on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Sequoia was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 12-25, 25-11, 16-14.

Among those leading the charge was Joslin Fiel, who had eight digs and two aces.

Fiel wasn't the only good servers: Sequoia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Sequoia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-15 record this season. As for Los Gatos, they dropped their record down to 16-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sequoia will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Gatos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
