Basketball Recap: Lindsay Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lindsay challenged Corcoran on Friday. The Lindsay Cardinals were dealt an 81-31 loss at the hands of the Corcoran Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1311th, while the Panthers are ranked 357th).

It was another big night for Javon Bragg, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds for Corcoran. Bragg has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last ten times he's played. Joshua Jenkins was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Lindsay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Corcoran, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Lindsay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-29 loss against Granite Hills on the 22nd. As for Corcoran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-55 defeat against Central on the 18th.
