Georgetown waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the East View Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Georgetown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for East View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.

Georgetown and East View should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 88th) will meet Elgin (ranked 603rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East View will take on Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (205 vs. 860).
