Basketball Recap: Linn Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linn). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 64-45 win over the Fatima Comets on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kiana Hostetler, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nicole Grellner, who posted eight points and six steals.

Linn was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Linn's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Fatima, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Linn and Fatima will both be playing Vienna the next time they take the court. Linn will host Vienna at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Fatima will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
