Softball Recap: New Berlin Eisenhower Continues Road Dominance on Monday

While New Berlin Eisenhower's victory against Brookfield Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Lancers on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Jayda Karls made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Karls was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellery Stoltz, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mya Ender, who went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

New Berlin Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive games.

New Berlin Eisenhower pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Brookfield Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Berlin Eisenhower will welcome Wauwatosa East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookfield Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
