Royall had won four straight games and Ella Schroeder did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cashton Eagles for which the team can thank Schroeder, who had 19 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Royall had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 27-25, 25-14, 25-23.
Royall's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Cashton, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 17-12 record.
Coincidentally, Royall and Cashton will both be playing Hillsboro the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
