Soccer Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Edgewood managed to keep up with Verona until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Crusaders came up short against the Wildcats, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Verona are ranked eighth).

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-3. As for Verona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Edgewood will challenge Racine Horlick at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Verona, they will face off against Janesville Craig at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
