Basketball Recap: Chamblee Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Chamblee posted their biggest victory since November 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past the Lakeside Vikings 78-57. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Vikings are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chamblee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eston Mcdow, who went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points. Rasean Robertson was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Lakeside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sam Shapiro, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Shapiro has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Raggs, who had nine points.

Chamblee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Lakeside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Chamblee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-55 defeat against Decatur on the 29th. As for Lakeside, they will be playing at home against Atlanta Jewish Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside is facing Atlanta Jewish Academy at the right time seeing as Atlanta Jewish Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
