Clayton Valley Charter dropped their record down to 13-6-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the College Park Falcons by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Camdyn Alton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

As for College Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

On College Park's side, Emma Lowery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. Lowery has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
