Softball Recap: Millington Central Wins Going Away Against Craigmont

While Millington Central put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Craigmont. The Millington Central Trojans were the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over the Craigmont Chiefs. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Katie Graves looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Grace Bell was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Madi Trouy was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Millington Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Millington Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Millington Central will look to defend their home field on Monday against Briarcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. As for Craigmont, they are taking a road trip to take on Fayette Ware at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Craigmont is coming into the game on a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
