Football Recap: Centreville Academy Piles Up the Points Against Central Private

Centreville Academy won against Canton Academy last Friday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Tigers took their contest with ease, bagging a 44-12 victory over the Central Private Redhawks. Considering the Tigers have won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Centreville Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Central Private, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centreville Academy will head out to square off against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Central Private, they will head out on the road to challenge Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
