Basketball Recap: Jordan Hornecker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Udall over Argonia

Udall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Argonia Raiders. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 52-51.

Udall lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Hornecker, who posted 21 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Hornecker is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was James Hornecker, who went 5 of 11 en route to 11 points and seven boards.

Argonia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Vineyard, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of CORBEN KOEHLER, who went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Udall's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Argonia, their record is now 2-9.

Udall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-36 defeat against Flinthills on the 25th. Argonia has also already played their next game, a 49-39 loss against West Elk on the 25th.
