Basketball Recap: Winnfield Comes Up Short

Winnfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Natchitoches Central Chiefs and fell 65-12. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Winnfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Natchitoches Central, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winnfield will take on Pineville in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Natchitoches Central and Acadiana will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Natchitoches Central's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Acadiana's offense will have their work cut out for them.
