Softball Recap: Hokes Bluff Takes a Loss

Hokes Bluff and Etowah squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Hokes Bluff had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the fifth time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-2 defeat on Friday.

Hokes Bluff saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Grace Hall, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hokes Bluff and nudges their season record down to 21-25. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Etowah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-20.

As of now, neither Hokes Bluff nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
