Football Game Preview: West Chicago Wildcats vs. Glenbard East Rams + Official Tickets

West Chicago hasn't had much luck against Glenbard East recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will face off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, West Chicago earned a 44-34 win over Fenton. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won three in a row.

Carter Naranjo had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 215 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Donovan Hamilton helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards and a rushing touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Chicago was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 204 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 win over Riverside-Brookfield on Friday.

Glenbard East's win came from a few key players West Chicago will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kedrick Dennis, who rushed for 156 yards and four TDs. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Michael Nee, who threw for 323 yards and one touchdown while completing 75.9% of his passes.

Glenbard East's record is now 8-1. As for West Chicago, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Naranjo and Nee. Naranjo just won't slow down this season and has averaged 31.4 passing yards per game. Nee has been a dominant force too and has thrown 25 touchdowns while averaging 211.7 passing yards per game.

West Chicago was taken down by Glenbard East 41-6 in their previous meeting on October 10th. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 28-0.
