Baseball Recap: Central Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After only two runs in their last contest, Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Dwyer on Monday. Everything went the Central Cobras' way against the Dwyer Panthers as the Central Cobras made off with a 14-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Rupert Blackwood Jr looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Schultz, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Jakobe Blackwood, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.

Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
