Football Recap: Lakeview Academy Piles Up the Points Against Piedmont Academy + How To Watch

Lakeview Academy won the last time they faced Piedmont Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-7 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their ten-point performance the game before.

Kyari Burch was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 95 yards and one TD on only nine carries, and also threw for 194 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Nesean Dorsey.

Lakeview Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Mahki Burch.

The victory got Lakeview Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Piedmont Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview Academy is headed away from home for the first time to take on Towns County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Piedmont Academy, they will head out to face off against Baconton Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
