St. Thomas Aquinas suffered their biggest loss since December 31, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Paul VI Eagles 81-54. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Eagles are ranked seventh).

St. Thomas Aquinas has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Paul VI, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.
