Volleyball Recap: Perquimans Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Perquimans entered their tilt with First Flight on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Nighthawks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

Perquimans not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept First Flight between 17 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

Morgan Byrum paced Perquimans' offense, picking up 15 kills. Byrum got some help from Eleanor Howell and her 16 assists. Byrum also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaydee Hunter, racking up two apiece.

Perquimans' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for First Flight, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Perquimans wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Northeastern on the 20th. After both having extra time off, First Flight and Manteo will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
