Who's up and who's down

In this week's postseason power rankings action, one team rose to the occasion while another fell hard. That and more in this week's report.

No Stoppin 'Em

The Vianney offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. The final score between it and Jackson was a 69 - 28 blowout in Vianney's favor. Vianney did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. The combined 97-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.

Carlinville is a little down this week -- likely figuratively, certainly literally. The team fell eight spots in the power rankings (the most of any team in the rankings) after its most recent contest. It suffered a painful 40 - 14 defeat to Monticello. Carlinville will need to regroup quickly to avoid another loss since it is the underdog in its next matchup.
