After four games on the road, Bellevue West is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Omaha North Vikings at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Bellevue West beat Benton 45-35. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Bellevue West has scored all year.

Danielle Coyer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahnica Russell-brown, who scored 14 points.

Meanwhile, Omaha North scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 66-52 victory over Omaha South. With that win, Omaha North brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.

Omaha North found their leader in underclassman Ayanna Hill, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Alaeya Randle, who scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Bellevue West now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Omaha North, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Bellevue West hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 53.4 points per game. It's a different story for Omaha North, though, as they've been averaging only 51.4 points per game. The only thing between Bellevue West and another offensive beatdown is Omaha North. Will they be able to keep them contained?
