Basketball Recap: Rosemont Beats El Dorado for Their Third Straight Victory

Rosemont extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Connor Irion. The Rosemont Wolverines came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-52 W against the El Dorado Cougars thanks in part to Irion, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. He has become a key player for Rosemont: the team is 8-3 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 3-7 otherwise.

Gus Bailey was another key player, putting up five points along with ten boards and three blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games he's played.

El Dorado lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan Baker, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. What's more, he also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Bird, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 17 points.

Rosemont now has a winning record of 11-10. As for El Dorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Rosemont has already played their next match, a 70-60 win against Amador on the 31st. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-66 loss against Liberty Ranch on the 5th.
