Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Page

Page won against Tuba City on Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went Page's way against the Dolores Bears as Page made off with a 15-5 win. Winning may never get old, but the Sand Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Wyatt Tallman tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cole Tate was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Yazzie, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Page always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dolores only posted an OBP of .382.

Page's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Dolores, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Page will be taking part in a tournament against Taos at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Page's pitchers better be ready for this one: Taos has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Dolores, they will take on Bayfield in a tournament on Friday. Dolores is facing Bayfield at the right time seeing as Bayfield is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
