Cordova has gone 9-1 against Ninilchik recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Cordova will take on Ninilchik at 3:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Cordova and Susitna Valley, and Susitna Valley kept the tradition alive. The Wolverines fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-21 in the first set.

Cordova started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Ninilchik was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Lumen Christi.

Ninilchik's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

Cordova skirted past Ninilchik 1-0 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cordova since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
