Football Recap: North Sanpete Starts Season with Win Against Cottonwood + How To Watch

North Sanpete had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cottonwood Colts 45-7. With the Hawks ahead 31-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

North Sanpete's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddox Madsen, who rushed for 28 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing yards Madsen has posted since back in August of 2024.

North Sanpete's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Wyatt Hobush was especially locked on to Cottonwood's QB and sacked him twice.

Looking ahead, North Sanpete will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Deseret Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cottonwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
