Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Pittsburg Pirates. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Antioch was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Pittsburg's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-21.

Pittsburg was led to victory by Angel Garcia and Angel Lozano De La Cruz. Garcia had 19 assists, while Lozano De La Cruz had 17 assists and five digs. Jermanie Earnest also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pittsburg, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-15.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Antioch will face off against rival Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pittsburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
