Baseball Recap: Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Takes a Loss

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond was the 12-2 winner over St. Teresa when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights came up short against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 12-4.

John Williams and Maxton Boddy did some serious damage despite the final result: Williams went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run, while Boddy went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Williams is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond now has a losing record of 7-8. As for St. Teresa, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.

Coming up, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will host Okaw Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for St. Teresa, they are taking a road trip to square off against St. Thomas More at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sabers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.28 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
