Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Locust Grove). They came out on top against the Skiatook Bulldogs by a score of 83-72 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in November of 2024, they had to take a 77-62 defeat.

Locust Grove has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Skiatook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Locust Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Stigler at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Skiatook, they will square off against Sallisaw at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Skiatook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Sallisaw likes a good challenge.
