Basketball Recap: Lakota Comes Up Short

Lakota lost against New Riegel back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakota Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the New Riegel Blue Jackets. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakota's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for New Riegel, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Coming up, Lakota will take on Old Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Riegel, they will square off against Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Riegel is on a three-game streak of home wins, Calvert a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
