Basketball Recap: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Tri-Cities Bulldogs
Chamblee suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2024 on Friday. They lost 88-66 to the Tri-Cities Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Chamblee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Tri-Cities is ranked 15th).

Despite the loss, Chamblee still got an impressive performance from Ryan McCord, who went 7 of 16 en route to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks McCord has posted since back in February of 2024. Simeon Stephens was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points.
Tri-Cities' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sean Vandorn led the charge by going 10 of 15 en route to 24 points along with seven boards and three steals. Vandorn is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalan Wingfield, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Chamblee's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Tri-Cities, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
Chamblee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-57 win against Lakeside on the 28th. As for Tri-Cities, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-52 victory against Shiloh on the 25th.
