Softball Game Recap: Forest Hills Tigers vs. Telstar Rebels

Forest Hills extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-9 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Telstar Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Tuesday.

As for Telstar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

For Telstar's part, the team relied heavily on Vivienne Charette, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Charette has posted since back in May of 2024. Lauren Pelletier was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Looking ahead, Forest Hills will square off against Wiscasset at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.46 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Telstar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
