Basketball Recap: Conroe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Caney Creek on Friday, Conroe came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 60-40 to The Woodlands Highlanders on Tuesday. The matchup was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Conroe has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for The Woodlands, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Conroe and The Woodlands should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Tigers will face off against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (245 vs. 812). Meanwhile, The Woodlands (ranked 111th) will meet Oak Ridge (ranked 447th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
