Softball Recap: Hidalgo Comes Up Short

Hidalgo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Valley View Tigers, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 back in March.

Hidalgo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yadira Perez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Another was Jocelyn Trevino, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hidalgo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Valley View, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.

As of now, neither Hidalgo nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
