Softball Game Recap: Enfield Eagles vs. Edwin O. Smith Panthers

Thursday just wasn't the day for Enfield's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to the Edwin O. Smith Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Enfield and nudges their season record down to 9-3. As for Edwin O. Smith, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Enfield and Edwin O. Smith should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. The Eagles will take on Glastonbury at 3:45 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (15 vs. 62). Meanwhile, Edwin O. Smith (ranked 24th) will meet East Hartford (ranked 110th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
