Baseball Recap: Napoleon Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bowling Green

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Napoleon). Everything went their way against the Bowling Green Bobcats on Monday as they made off with a 15-5 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Blaine Ford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Woods, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Eric Hershberger, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Napoleon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bowling Green only managed six hits.

Napoleon's record is now 4-1-1. As for Bowling Green, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Napoleon beat the Bobcats by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday.
