Preview: South Davidson Wildcats vs. Lexington Yellowjackets

The South Davidson Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Lexington Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (South Davidson is ranked 476th, while Lexington is ranked 471st).

South Davidson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Rowan, falling 73-44.

Meanwhile, even though East Davidson scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Lexington still came out on top. Lexington walked away with a 68-58 win over East Davidson. The win was just what Lexington needed coming off of a 87-45 loss in their prior game.

Jaylen Henderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Gyabaah, who scored 15 points.

South Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-6.

South Davidson strolled past Lexington in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 82-66. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lexington's Kimoni Small, who scored 22 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for South Davidson to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
