Basketball Recap: Brown County Takes a Loss

Brown County lost against Sullivan back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Brown County Eagles lost 75-54 to the Sullivan Golden Arrows. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Golden Arrows are ranked 113th).

Sullivan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Granby, who went 7 of 11 to rack up 20 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Granby has posted since back in January of 2024. Cooper Bock was another key player, going 7 for 8 en route to 18 points.

Brown County has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Sullivan, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Brown County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-50 loss against Medora on the 4th. As for Sullivan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-41 victory against South Putnam on the 3rd.
