Preview: Houston County vs. Tift County
The Houston County Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Tift County Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Houston County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Houston County fell victim to Veterans and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 4-0 walloping at the hands of the Warhawks.
Meanwhile, Tift County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell just short of Northside by a score of 4-3.
Houston County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tift County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.
Houston County beat Tift County 2-0 when the teams last played on March 1st. The rematch might be a little tougher for Houston County since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
