Volleyball Preview: Philip Scotties vs. Bennett County Warriors
Philip has been away from home for nine games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will take on the Bennett County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Philip was able to grind out a solid victory over Dupree, taking the game 2-0.
Philip never let Dupree on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23.
Philip found their leader in underclassman Memphis Konst, who had eight digs and 13 assists. Those 13 assists set a new season-high mark for Konst.
Meanwhile, Bennett County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Ranchers 2-1.
Bennett County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 26-24, 25-17.
Philip's victory bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Bennett County, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.
