Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Eagle Pass

Eagle Pass kept a clean sheet against Medina Valley on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Medina Valley Panthers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Panthers are ranked 164th).

With the victory, Eagle Pass broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-3-1. As for Medina Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Laredo LBJ the next time they take the pitch. Medina Valley will host Laredo LBJ at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Eagle Pass will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
