Baseball Game Preview: Harbor Springs Rams vs. Boyne City Ramblers

The Harbor Springs Rams will take on the Boyne City Ramblers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Harbor Springs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Boyne City's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Harbor Springs' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Kalkaska as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Ryan Novak, who gave up just three hits to keep Kalkaska off the board.

On the hitting side, Nolan Kennedy was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Lemieur, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Boyne City posted their closest win since April 17th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cheboygan 1-0.

Boyne City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sullivan Caderette, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Boyne City's victory bumped their record up to 3-13-2. As for Harbor Springs, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Harbor Springs skirted past Boyne City 3-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ramblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
