Trinity Christian dropped down to 4-4 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Garrett Memorial Christian Saints by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saints this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-3 loss back in March.
Willa Young made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gordon, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
As for Garrett Memorial Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
On Garrett Memorial Christian's side, Gracie Bullock made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs but no hits.
