Basketball Recap: Cornwall Central Takes a Loss

Cornwall Central lost to Beacon back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dragons were beaten by the Bulldogs 63-30. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 65th).

Cornwall Central dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Beacon, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Cornwall Central will welcome Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beacon, they will face off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Redhawks have averaged an impressive 60.8 points per game this season.
