Softball Preview: Piggott Mohawks vs. Rivercrest Colts

Meanwhile, Rivercrest can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Westside as Rivercrest made off with an 8-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Rivercrest.
Laynee Gardner spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taylor Routledge, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Ella Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
